A particular illustration of my level of commitment to my studies lies in my choice to sacrifice my college basketball career in order to pursue my ambitions of becoming a physical therapist. My athletic schedule prevented me from taking necessary classes and gaining experience in the field of physical therapy. My commitment to succeeding as a student was far greater than my desire to change career paths to accommodate my basketball career. I think engagement is an abandoned concept in today's society. In a world that thrives on changing trends, it's hard to find people who are completely exhausted and determined to achieve their goals. I have a strong desire to become a physiotherapist and I know that to achieve this dream I will have to fully commit to my studies and to the program in which I
