Pollution is currently the main problem responsible for environmental degradation. History tells us that in the past, pollution was absent as the environment was kept natural, unlike today where environmental pollution is a global concern. The same course of history shows that the environment is the most crucial thing that allows humans and other organisms to survive. This article describes the relationship between history and the environment and current activities leading to unsustainable development. Environmental protection is both an individual and governmental concern. Environmental pollution is mainly found in countries where businesses are advanced. This is true of history class since in the past, businesses were environmentally friendly. Modern technology contributes to environmental pollution (Roach, 2003).
