    Current Issues - Immigration Over the years there have been many cases relating to “family separation”. The number of deportations over the years has had a significant impact on immigrant families, their countries of origin, and their communities. Evictions also cause economic hardship and emotional distress for the family. What would happen if the father of the family was deported? a father is considered the primary breadwinner, but things change dramatically when that father is no longer there. I am 19 years old and this American question can have a huge impact in my life. Not only will it be difficult to provide for my siblings, but it will also be difficult to go to school and work at the same time. Deportation is something I will always fear, until my parents can finally become citizens. Having hard-working parents may be virtually worthless to those who support deportation.
