Most parents change a lot in the way they raise their children by the time they get to their last child, as my mother did. Of all my brothers and sisters, I had the most difficulty. I wasn't allowed to do as much as my older siblings when they were growing up. I'm sure I'll do the same thing by the time I have my second or third child. Even if your parents raised you in a different way, what you do with your children doesn't mean they did things wrong, maybe you just have a different way of doing things. After all, the only thing that really matters is that you did your best and that your children are loved and well taken care of.
