  • Essay / Reflecting on my personal classroom experience

    It was different taking a test because I am so used to doing homework and clinical hours. It was good to do a test. This gave me the opportunity to see what I had really mastered and what topics I might need to go back and look at. It validates my knowledge and shows me that I can learn something, think about it, then take it out and put it into practice. Personally, I took this course as the last course of my EECIS specialization. I felt like I would have learned and benefited more from taking it from the beginning. I think all education majors should take this course previously as a prerequisite. You learn how much the first three years can make or break a child. The information in this course is good to know in your professional career so that you know and have a bank of information to refer to when something happens with a young child and you are trying to figure out what is going on. It's good to know where it all starts and what can really affect what happens in the years to come. Overall, after taking this course, I came to the conclusion that I really want to be a part of these children's lives. One person can make a really big difference and if I could do it for just one child or just one family I would feel so good and
