The “Perfect” Picture In 2006, Dove created a 75-second video called “Evolution.” (Piper, “Dove Evolution”) He has achieved immeasurable success and laurels. Today, it has over 17 million views on You Tube. He won two Grand Prix at Cannes; both in cyberspace and in cinema. (Wentz, “Evolution” Win Marks Dawn of New Cannes Era.) It raised awareness of how Photoshop and makeup distort the images we see in magazines, billboards, and all media. The famous advertisement begins with the caption: "A dove film". It starts with a close-up of a girl. She is an average looking girl. She has blemishes, redness, a heavy jaw and pretty blue eyes. In fact, we can believe it. see the hairstyle she has a million times on the street. She is no different from any of us. And then its “evolution” begins. She slowly starts by hiding her imperfections. She now has flawless skin like glass. Slowly, the imperfections that weren't even visible when we first laid eyes on the girl begin to disappear. Her hair is now styled and now looks like something every girl wants. False eyelashes are added and feature-defining makeup like eyeliner. , bronzer, highlighter, etc. is applied to his face. Who knew that the “right” makeup could change a person so much? She looks a bit like the girl we started with. But his transformation is not yet complete. Photoshop comes in. Her lips are swollen, her neck gets longer, her nose gets thinner, her eyes get bigger. After all, aren’t these characteristics considered “perfect” by society? She looks like a completely different person now.
