Marketing principlesPRODUCT INNOVATION AND PROMOTION PROJECTOur mission is to create and promote an innovative product. When developing a new product, we started with idea generation. This is a systematic search for new product ideas. Companies look at many ideas before finding good ones. We had to do the same thing. We brainstormed many ideas on our own. This was more of an internal source of ideas than a search for ideas outside of our partnership. Our first idea was a restaurant, half of which would be a real restaurant and the other half would be a car tuning shop. The next idea was a new energy drink that was less expensive and tastier. Our next idea came while we were sitting there gathering ideas for the project. We were looking at chapter ten of the Principles of Marketing book and reading about Heinz EZ Squirt ketchup bottles. It has emerged that one of the best American snacks of all time hasn't been put in a squeeze bottle like many other products. This product is peanut butter. This was going to be the idea for our project until we went to the store to buy peanut butter for our packaging and found a bottle of pressed peanut butter already available. This led us to find a new product at the last minute. We thought about what interested us. Cars, music and alcohol immediately came to mind. The next step was to filter the ideas to separate the good ideas from the bad ones. Every product or service had good and bad sides. The half restaurant half auto tuning shop was a very different concept, and with a few tweaks it might pique some people's interest. The problem is that it probably wouldn't catch enough people. It wasn't a promising idea. The idea of a new energy drink was good, but there are already different types of energy drinks on the market. Creating one that everyone else doesn't already say they can do is difficult. That didn't seem like a good idea either. The peanut butter idea piqued our interest more than any of the ideas we had come up with. This is a very simple idea and wouldn't be too complicated or technical to create. Peanut butter is used in many snacks, and it would be easy to make the case for why a squeeze bottle could provide a lasting improvement over a regular jar. Peanut butter in a squeeze bottle was the final decision...... middle of paper...... referral and funding for them will help them financially. While we work to stop underage drinking, we want to be active in the lives of adult drinkers. This is why we will sponsor local softball league teams for older men and women. It's a good way to keep alcohol drinkers active and doing something. Our company aims to create a good image among the public for all ages, whether alcoholics or not. Bartenders as well as store clerks will be well trained in personal selling. They will have a face-to-face presentation as well as a very friendly attitude. They will also answer friendly phone calls to ask questions or give feedback on the drinks. Our store also offers an email address for requests, suggestions, reviews or just questions for our in-store bartenders. They will respond to you within the day as soon as possible.
