    Types of StressThere are three types of stress which will be explained. At different times in our lives, one or more of these stresses can invade us. The first of these is “Type A” stress, which is both predictable and avoidable. For example, riding a roller coaster is both predictable and avoidable, so it is considered “Type A” stress. A ?Type B? Stress is defined as something that is neither predictable nor avoidable. A good example is being hit by a baseball while watching a game. The last type of these constraints is called “Type C”. stress, and is defined as stress that is predictable, but not preventable. A good example would be a teenager who stays out too late and knows that when she comes home she will get in trouble with her parents. At certain times in our lives, such as marriage, we may face “Type A.” stress (predictable and avoidable). We of course know that when we get married we will have to endure this added stress.
