In the book, The Unwanteds, by Lisa Mcmann, has been an interesting novel so far. The action takes place in a town called Quill. In this town they want everything to be the same and everyone to be smart and strong, but not creative. Alex Stowe is the main character and must be killed along with a few other teenagers. There are three groups to select on purge day. There are the undesirables, who are eliminated because they are creative. There are the Necessaries, who work hard. And there are the wanted people, who play an important role in society. Alex, Meghan Ranger, Lani Haluki and Samheed Burkesh were chosen among the undesirables to be eliminated. While they were sent out for elimination, Aaron Stowe was chosen as wanted, which is the highest ranking. Mr. Stowe and Mrs. Stowe try to make him forget about his brother, but in his mind, he can't do it. The high priest Justine, Lani's father, accompanied by a few governors, heads to Death's farm to get rid of the children.
