Some cartoons comment on politics while others comment on science and entertainment. A large portion of cartoons are created with the sole purpose of entertaining readers. In this cartoon, Marshall Ramsey draws a hilarious comparison between increasing levels of obesity and gasoline prices using symbolism, analogy, and exaggeration. Rising obesity levels and gasoline prices are a serious concern for the economy and society as a whole. Marshall tries to convey this message in his cartoon.
