“Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all those who are deprived. Open your mouth, judge justly, defend the rights of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31:8-9). Prejudice exists in every measure, against every person and everywhere. People are prone to judge without reason and are often convinced of the initial judgment made. Despite global attempts to reduce these preconceptions, people must suffer from being targeted by them on very frequent occasions. In the United States, there was the civil rights movement as well as the movement to end women's right to vote. It has not eliminated all bias against these groups, nor has the Americans with Disabilities Act. People are still isolated due to physical differences, such as disabilities. Some people may disagree, but there are more ways to victimize than just abusive treatment. These methods include constantly escaping a person, excluding someone from an activity, as well as changing their attitude towards them. These seem to be the most common responses people with disabilities receive. In fact, people with disabilities may face the most discrimination due to the use of this type of oppression. In countless conversations, the term normal exists. Normality is a standard by which people determine whether others have positive or negative characteristics. The term different is commonly used, but when something is different from normal, it is difficult to accept it. Unfortunately, people with disabilities are generally not included in the idea of what is normal.
