Torture is an act that was used hundreds of years ago by powerful people who brutally used such techniques to rule their empire. Although humans have moved on from this era, many feel that this cruel system should and can still be used. Many individuals in society believe that torture is absolutely necessary in extreme conditions, but they fail to realize that no matter how intense the situation, torture cannot be justified. Torture is a vindictive and inhumane act because it can be misused on innocent people, it leads to many physiological effects afterwards, interrogators are negatively affected and the information extracted from individuals is unreliable. Primarily, torture is wrong because it is often unjustified. used on innocent people. Many people resort to torture without having any clear evidence that the victim is wrong and deserves what they are suffering. This is clear from what the US government did to individuals it thought were suspects after 9/11. The September 11 attacks were a series of terrorist attacks launched by Al-Qaeda against New York and Washington DC. As a result of these attacks, once the government began investigating, many people were arrested, without any reason, if they felt they had participated in the activity.
