Too often in life we are so preoccupied with the destination that we simply forget to admire the journey. When I first read James Rhio O'Connor's story, I was truly inspired. Personally, I was completely in awe that someone could be told they only had a year to live, and then they could turn around and prove all the doctors and scientists wrong and survive their prognosis over six years old. He showed with great determination that you can prove that you are strong enough to survive anything. When I first heard about the story of James Rhio O'Connor, a quote came to mind. “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly. » When I compare James Rhio O'Connor to this quote, I find that some people might be like the caterpillar and think that the world is over because of a dire cancer prognosis, but James waited and found out that he could transform into something so much more, thus becoming the butterfly. If in my life I were placed in a situation where I was given a poor cancer prognosis, I would most likely have difficulty accepting it at first.....
