    I love Christmas. I think it's the most wonderful day of the year. When my grille marks December 26, butterflies flutter around my stomach and I feel like a kid in a candy store. I love this day so much because I eat delicious food, see my family and receive gifts. my morning begins with a long stretch and a yawn followed by the aroma of Christmas dinner. I can smell the stuffed and seasoned turkey and the baked macaroni and cheese. I can also smell the yams covered in sugar and cinnamon and the smoked ham hocks mixed with the black peas. the smell of food is what draws me up the stairs and in plain sight I see a steaming turkey fresh out of the oven, that's my dark green collard intestine with a little back fat mixed in . the list can go on and on because the table was about a mile long and it was covered in nothing but food. The main thing I rush to is my mom's famous turkey dressing. I can spot it from a mile away because she always makes it in the same shiny aluminum pan and places it in a green, red and white container....
