    The things I saw that worked in the play were the costumes, the props, and the actors. The creators made costumes adapted to the character played. The orphans wore tattered robes, which made them seem less fortunate. Maids wore uniforms and wealthier characters like Papa Warbuck wore suits. The fact that the characters have distinctive costumes allows the audience to resort to a less willful suspension of disbelief. The props provided visuals to help identify the setting. The scene where Annie arrives at Warbucks shows a couch, a window, a staircase, and a desk. The objects placed in the scene are typical objects found in audience members' homes, which made it easy for the audience to identify the setting. The actors chosen to play the characters were mostly age-appropriate for the character. For example, an older woman did not play the character Annie, actor Sierra Thomsen was close to the character's age. Having a relationship between the actors and the ages of the characters gave a feeling of
