In recent years, there has been a growing interest in measuring employee satisfaction in organizations. The work environment is complex mainly because of its structure which involves two or more parties. It is important for employers and organizations to know whether their employees are satisfied with their work, as this can directly influence their performance and, therefore, that of the organization. Satisfaction can mean different things to different people. Many people can agree that satisfaction is determined when their expectations are met and may feel disappointed when they are not. If it is essential to specify the meaning of satisfaction, it is just as relevant to identify the elements that make up job satisfaction. This requires an understanding of the concept of job satisfaction, a concept related to the debate over an individual's satisfaction with work. Thus, the objectives of this article are 1) to define job satisfaction, 2) to discuss the scope of job satisfaction, 3) to discuss the factors of job satisfaction and 4) to provide an overview of job satisfaction at work from an Islamic perspective. To understand what job satisfaction is, it should be approached as a work-related attitude. People tend to have a specific idea and feeling about their job, whether it's the coworkers, the salary, the supervisors, or even the cafeteria. These feelings and thoughts constitute what we call a work-related attitude. People's attitude toward their job or organization has a profound effect on how the individual performs their job and the quality of life they have at work. According to Mullins (2005), job satisfaction is “more of an attitude, an intuitive feeling.” ...... middle of paper ...... red trustworthy and will be held responsible. Whoever manipulates the trust of the servant must take into account the misfortunes he will suffer from Allah the Almighty. The Prophet said in a sacred hadith: “Allah said: “I will be an adversary of three types of people on the Day of Resurrection. He who makes a covenant in My Name, but turns out to be a traitor; He who sells a free person and eats his price. » and One who employs a worker and takes all his work but does not pay him for his work. (Reported by Al-Bukhari, The Book of Sahih Albukhari, page no. 2270). The day of judgment will come when people excessively indulge in corruption. Therefore, when corruption is high, trust slowly declines in society. Prophet (saw) who said: “When confidence is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday). » (Reported by Al-Bukhari, The Book of Sahih Albukhari, page no.59).
