A brief summary of the plot. Debrief the scenario. Not too many words, please!Marcus Brown and Eddie Russo are best friends and stars of the Long Island City high school basketball team. Marcus is black and Eddie is white, and everyone calls them Black and White. They have found the strength to break the racial barrier, or at least they themselves believe so. They are inseparable and always support each other, on and off the basketball court. With the possibility of obtaining the scholarship they want, their future looks bright. Their plan is to get an athletic scholarship to a prestigious university and continue playing professional basketball. When the boys turn to crime, their friendship is put at stake along with the bright future they had planned. Will their mistake cost them the things they value most? Marcus's family is poor. Her mother is a single parent. She works long hours as a seamstress to support Marcus and his daughter Sabrina, after her husband left the family. They live in a public housing development called the projects. Eddie has two parents who both work. They have a better economy than Marcus' family, but Eddie doesn't get as much money as he would like. They live in a private home in the same neighborhood of Queens as Marcus. It's the start of the final term of high school, and parties and trips are approaching. The boys have been saving money to cover their expenses for a long time. But then Nike released a brand new pair of shoes in the basketball team's colors, brown and powder blue. Everyone on the team gets a pair, and everyone will notice if the team's stars don't have them too.
