Essay / Infinity Night Club: Exceeding My Expectations
“You can delay, but time won't do it. » It's been almost a year since I arrived in America. I still clearly remembered my shyness when I first arrived at my host family's house. Apparently, life in the United States is quite different from that in Vietnam. I had to endure a very painful culture shock for a long time. Everything was new to me. I felt so nervous and confused every time I went out. As a result, I spent most of my time at home watching movies, playing computer games and listening to music during the first 3 months. Luckily, when the fourth month said hello, things went better. I was filled with confidence. I started making friends and going out more often. I've been to many places known as "places you should visit when you're in Seattle." I've been to Space Needle, SAM, South Center Malls, Mount Rainier and now it's Infinity Night Club. Infinity Night Club was just added to my “places to go” list this past Saturday. It was definitely the most brilliant idea I've ever done before. It completely changed the way I viewed clubs in the United States. It helped me learn more about American life. Infinity has aspects both different and similar to what I expected, such as: atmosphere, people and service style. First of all, the most important thing for a club to become a favorite and attract customers is its atmosphere which will contribute to transmit happiness to its customers. The atmosphere is the internal and external image of the club. I expected Infinity to have a very rock and roll vision with a giant photo of a sexy model in a hanging bikini, a frame of bright, dazzlingly colored lights that flashed continuously in the dark, and two muscular seconds... ... middle of paper ......very thoughtful and concerned. They spoke with courtesy and kindness. There were always smiles on their faces. Customer friendliness is their goal and customer smiles are their precious gifts. In conclusion, the differences and similarities in ambiance, people and service style between my expectation of Infinity and the reality I had discovered were definitely my worthwhile experiences in the United States. It is true that “you won’t know it until you experience it.” The journey to Infinity taught me a lesson that things are not like what you think they are. Interacting with society to expand your knowledge is vital. Living and revealing your life are the best ways to realize how beautiful life is. As James Dean, an American film actor from 1931 to 1955, said: "Dream as if you would live forever, live as if you would die today..”
