A social justice issue facing our world today is that of people experiencing homelessness; this question is at the center of the concerns of the Catholic Church. Themes of Catholic social teaching, such as the dignity of the human person, further explain why they are primarily addressed, due to the belief that each person is created in the image of God. and must be treated equally, with freedom and dignity. This means that you and your neighbor, whether homeless or not, should be considered and treated as children of God. This teaching considers these “homeless” people not only as homeless people, but also as people experiencing staged homelessness and who must be treated with the same views and rights as any other person. By understanding human rights, each person is entitled to their rights in matters of justice, rather than just in matters of charity. Another theme of Catholic social teaching is the theme of the common good. This theme ensures that no part of the population is excluded and has the right to benefit from the well-being of the community; this applies at local, national and international levels for marginalized people, such as homeless people. This is therefore linked to the ideas of human dignity and human development, making it the fundamental goal of all societies. From the perspective of Catholic social doctrine, the idea of distribution is based on a true love of freedom and the desire to convey this freedom to people who are homeless and able to derive such benefits from the community around them. As individuals alongside the Catholic Church, we play a crucial role in being able to make a difference in not only the lives of homeless people, but also those of the most neglected people in society. The Catholic Church already undertakes many charitable works and distributes goods to help those around us, but with the help of communities and ourselves as individuals, we are able to strengthen this idea to contribute to create a stronger and more equal society. As individuals, we are able to reinforce these ideas by participating in charity and lending a helping hand to those around us, but a key form of difference we can make is primarily by educating those around us. surround on the social justice issues that surround us daily.
