The Catechism of the Catholic Church addresses pornography in paragraph 2354 “Pornography consists of removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of partners, in order to deliberately show them to third parties . It violates chastity because it perverts the marital act, the intimate gift of spouses to each other. It seriously undermines the dignity of its participants (actors, sellers and public), since each becomes an object of vile pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses everyone involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. This is a serious offense. Civil authorities should prevent the production and distribution of pornographic material. The USCCB addressed it again in November 2015 in the document Create in Me a Clean Heart: A Pastoral Response to Pornography Use developed by the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and
