Okonkwo had dreams, some of his dreams came true while others did not. Okonkwo's dreams were to succeed and become better than his father's, which happened because he was one of the greatest, most well-known and most respected men in the tribe of Okonkwo. Umuofia. His other dream was for his son Nwoye to be like him, which did not happen since Nwoye was not happy with the way he was treated and he went to join the white man's church despite his father. Okonkwo wanted to become one. one of the greatest men of the Ibo tribe, but three unfortunate events occur bringing him closer to his end. Okonkwo was a proud and hardworking character who through his hard work was able to rise to a stature of respect and importance in his community. The only major flaw in his character was that he was a man driven by his fear to extreme reactions.
