Essay / the definition is "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs", and "the 'needs' mentioned are broad and are met by the three 'E's' of sustainability: environment, economy and equity ." (Lallier 11). For this article, I will use my hometown as a backdrop to create a sustainable community. I will separate the entire recycling system of my village into 4 parts, namely: food, energy, trees and water system This is a small village in GuangDong province, China. This village has a small population of two hundred and seventy-eight people living in fifty. -six houses, and the houses are distributed in a half-moon pattern The village is surrounded by mountains on three sides, a medium-sized lake in front of the village and a small road which is the only way to it. village to connect to the outside world We have plenty of continuous solar and wind resources here. I will make the best use of these resources and develop my village with the main concept of “letting the environment decide human activity instead of human activity deciding the environment” (Badiru, 1). I will focus on the environment section to discuss how the sustainable community can continue to function in the future. What is most important for people to live for? It's the food. In my village, we have a perfect concept to develop our food system: we must live with local benefits. There are several agricultural lands located around my village. Some agricultural land is located in plains and the others are terraced. My villagers use the farmland on the plains to grow rice in spring and fall. We will harvest the rice in summer...... middle of paper......at this time we need to use the water purifier system to filter the original water. Even though we have done our best to ensure the drinking water supply system, it still mostly depends on the sky. If the rainy period is too short, we will need artificial precipitation to obtain more water. I'm not sure how to tackle this challenge, all we can do is make sure we use the water in the best possible way. Above are the general measures for environmental protection. I can't guarantee that any of this can work in today's world, but I hope that all of this can give people ideas for developing a workable method for building a sustainable community. Even though one person's power is small, if we do it and suggest our family and friends to follow us, it can become a huge group. Protecting the environment means protecting ourselves and our offspring.
