The seed plow was a Mesopotamian invention that revolutionized the world and made farming easier for them. Many people may think it wasn't important and wonder why was the seed plow an important invention? Another question would be: what is the seed plow? How does the seed plow look like in modern agriculture? The seed plow is of great importance in the world today. The seed plow is a major piece of equipment. He helped with agriculture by doing all the sowing and plowing. The seed is placed in a hole in the plow and then placed in the soil (“Mesopotamia: Science & Inventions.” Mesopotamia: Science & Inventions 2013). If the seed plow had not been invented, agriculture would not be so simple. The seed plow needs an animal to pull it through the crops so farmers can plant their crops more efficiently. Agriculture at that time was much slower and more arduous than today. The invention of the seed plow represented a major advance at this time. This creation allowed farmers to plow more easily and produce more crops at a faster rate. Without the first invention of the seed plow, farmers would over the years find it more difficult to earn a living and supply their crops to suppliers. Animals play an important role in the agricultural process. Animals were used to pull plows across fields, dropping seeds and plowing the land to facilitate sowing.
