1.1 IntroductionThis article is a visual representation of all of my ideas and discoveries that I have gained throughout my creation of a Realism Workshop. Thanks to my prior knowledge of realism, I was able to focus my research on the difference between this practice and others and better understand its aspects. The research allowed me to gain a solid knowledge base for my workshop, but it was then up to me to find a way to effectively present this knowledge to an audience.1.2 What inspired me to do research in realistic theater? During the two years of the theater diploma program Of course, we studied a particular topic that I was passionate about and since then, I have wanted to understand it better. My class attended a production of A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry and it inspired me to investigate another similar theater practice. What I loved about Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun was how the audience was captivated by the performance without interacting at all. Looking through my journal, I found that I had written: “The most interesting thing to me was how captivated the audience was by the show even though they were not involved in the show at all. The acting was so realistic and realistic that the audience felt like they were in the family's apartment, like a "fly on the wall", so to speak.
