In 1929, Albert and Arthur Mooney joined together and founded an aircraft company known as the Mooney Aviation Company in Texas. This research paper will examine this aviation company from its initial operations in the global aviation industry and how it has operated with all the ups and downs posed by technological and economic changes across the world. Generally, Mooney Aviation Company is a privately held company that aims to make a profit by providing the best or high quality airline services to its customers. In addition to this, Mooney Aviation Company encourages its employees to be creative and innovative, thereby enhancing their personal growth. In addition to being friendly, Mooney Company treats its employees with great care, respect and warmth allowing them to provide quality services to their customers (Ganson, 2014). Although this company went bankrupt in 1930 following the Great Depression it experienced during and after World War II, however, in the 1960s the company collapsed again due to lack of adequate funds. Then came the period of the 1980s, when Mooney Aviation Company began to make huge profits until 2008, when it began to lay off some of its employees. On October 8, 2013, Soaring America Corporation, a California-based company, acquired all of the assets of Mooney Aviation Company. Although Mooney Aviation Company has faced many challenges year after year, it has managed to achieve many remarkable profits and according to Chen, CEO of the company, it hopes to get back on its feet and by the end of 2014. they expect to increase the number of employees to 120.
