    As children, we are exposed to many new and intriguing things. One of these new elements of exploration is the music element. When children come home from the hospital and cry incessantly, mothers and fathers sing to calm them down. Before putting them to sleep, a lullaby is a common practice among parents. Songs are also featured heavily in TV shows, movies, and even children's books that have buttons to play music while the book is read. From an early age, music comes into children's reach, and as they grow and mature, music has an even greater impact on their lives. Three pieces of music that are examples of childhood music are "Brahms' Lullaby", "Tse Tse Kule", and "Nobody's Perfect". “Brahms' Lullaby” written by Johannes Brahms and published in 1868. It is better known as “Brahms' Lullaby” “Wiegenlied.” Brahms wrote this piece to celebrate Bertha Faber, a friend of Brahms, who had just given birth (Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia). Although the lullaby is a piece of classical music, it is very present in today's culture. It is a very popular song that parents hum or sing to calm a crying child. The piece is also very obvious when walking through the baby aisle of many department stores. Many stuffed animals or baby mobiles have a button that, when pressed, plays the beautiful sounds of Brahms' Wiegenlied. This says a lot about the popularity of the piece as it is still very popular today. Culturally, it has become a “theme song” for childhood, for example. When a couple has a new baby, it's almost as if "Wiegenlied" has to be present in their child's life in order to follow the standard of the cultural norm.
