  • Essay / Health risks associated with electromagnetic fields...

What if you were killed by something you couldn't see or hear? What if I told you that at this very moment you might be killed? Would you stop everything you were doing to find the silent killer, or would you just hope that the silent killer wouldn't find you? One woman was lucky enough to set out in pursuit of this silent killer. For six months, this woman noticed unusual signs in her house. One sign, the sign that led her to find the silent killer, was the death of all the purple plants in and around her house. The woman herself suffered from severe headaches that lasted for days, fatigue and ringing in the ears. It was her doctor who suggested that radio waves, such as those used in microwaves, laptops and cell phones, might be causing her discomfort. After clearing his house of these objects, strange phenomena continued to occur. Somehow the woman, with the help of the police, discovered that her neighbor was trying to kill her by sending high-frequency electromagnetic waves into her house. This scenario is not a common form of murder. However, for most people in Western society, electromagnetic dependence has become integrated into their way of life, whether they know it or not. Electromagnetic waves are very difficult to eliminate completely because they are heavily used. However, this does not mean that their use cannot be reduced or regulated. Since most of Western society relies heavily on electromagnetic frequencies, it is only right that they know what it is, their side effects, and the research behind them. I believe that electromagnetic frequencies cause health problems and that there should be laws and regulations about them because... middle of paper ......m.nih.gov/pubmed/19649291? ordinalpos=1&itool= EnterSystem2>."Radiation Safety."
