The sociological imagination and the mediaThe media have become an important part of our lives and our society by impacting our lives every day, whether with social networks, the news or television. Television has become a predominant factor today, just checking what's happening in the world or watching your favorite show. Many shows may not seem to have a broader meaning behind it, but if you look, you can find one. C. Wright Mills describes sociological imagination as the ability to see and understand the connection between individual lives and events and larger social forces.
