  • Essay / Contributions from Ancient China - 711

In our daily lives, we see goods from China. In fact, the Chinese have been making useful products since feudal times. Their inventions were truly innovative and useful, despite this, people still use these products today. What is probably the most interesting: many products have long been unknown in the Western world (Europe). During the feudal period, the Chinese developed their own planting technique. They decided to plant their crops in rows, which allowed them to grow much faster and be stronger. This ancient nation was so inventive that it understood that with the help of the rows the wind blows over it and cannot damage the plant. In the 4th century BC, the Chinese invented the compass: the object that people use to this day. From the earliest times, these wise men first used the magnet and iron as tools of divination. The same principle would have been discovered by William Gilbert in 1600. The Chinese were really successful, notably by inventing the tools that helped them cultivate the land. The next truly successful invention was that of the seeder. This instrument was used to plant seeds in rows of a particular depth. The other invention is also linked to agriculture: the iron moldboard plow. This machine was used to turn the earth, so that the seeds could be planted. It really helped people in their daily lives. In the first century BC, the Chinese developed another invention that was also very useful. They invented the deep drilling technique. People used it to obtain gas, which they then used to extract salt from water. In America, the same machine was not invented until the 1820s. The Chinese also invented the material which is popular today almost in the middle of paper in China. However, I print my work to study, the books I want to read and my photos. The impression is everywhere, in all spheres of my life. I appreciate all the work done by the ancient Chinese and consider their knowledge to be the cornerstone of major world inventions. I think their authentic culture is worth studying and there are many things I would like to learn from this ancient and highly intellectual nation.
