Since the 2008 recession, thousands of jobs have been lost and it has been difficult for many Americans to remain in the social class they occupied. Many Americans have lost their jobs and are unemployed, meaning no source of income, which will cause them to fall into the lower classes. It has been difficult for children born in a lower class family, mainly because they did not receive a good education, which requires money to pay school fees. They will never get a decent job to improve themselves. When we talk about ethnic minorities and white minorities, many people think that it is always the ethnic minorities who are disadvantaged. Social mobility may be more difficult for ethnic minorities than for white majorities. When we talk about the three major concepts of social mobility, we must first start with horizontal mobility.
