  • Essay / Study Abroad Program - 1093

After graduating, I tried to create a perfect plan for my future. In order to achieve my personal goals, I focused on two main things: improving my studies and finding a job. I decided to continue my studies and obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering which I enrolled at the Technical College in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When I received the admission letter from this university, I packed my bags and left my parents' house to go to Riyadh to pursue my goal. It was the first time they were away from each other. I studied hard to get this certificate. It felt like time was passing too slowly while I was there. While studying at this college, I discovered a scholarship program. This program had many requirements and a lengthy application process. I did not hesitate to register for this program. It was a great opportunity to get a better education and it was offered in one of the most sophisticated countries in the world. So I made the decision to take advantage of this opportunity, because opportunities like this only come once in our life. I didn't know that they would accept me into the program to study in the United States and after two weeks I received good news from them. I struggled between leaving my career unfinished at this university and finishing it in the United States. The crucial moment in my life came when I saw my name among the final round scholarship admissions participants. At that moment, I decided on this opportunity. I asked my family and friends for advice and they told me to go for it because you will learn several valuable things, including language development. You will get a certificate from a country where education is very sophisticated and one of the best...... middle of paper ...... a call from the US embassy asking me to send my passport as well as soon as possible to issue the visa. I was really happy and I couldn't describe my feeling because it was the most important thing that encouraged me to study abroad. When I received my passport, I began to arrange and organize myself to leave my country and achieve my personal goals for the future. In conclusion, it was a very difficult time at that time in my life to make a decision but I thought of this good opportunity and I missed it. Sometimes it is very difficult to translate and describe the feelings that human beings have when things like this happen in life. Even though there were difficult circumstances and times like leaving my family, losing this opportunity, achieving my goals and waiting for my visa, I decided to leave home and study abroad to achieve my goals and my dreams..
