  • Essay / Understanding of Jesus Christ in Christianity and Islam

The world has always been filled with different religious beliefs, as there is probably no universal explanation for the origins of human creation. Since ancient times, we all needed a symbol of faith and the existence of the judge, who sees everything and is therefore always eager to set a price or punish. It depends on how well we have followed His commandments. The two religions: Islam and Christianity are very different and their followers are people whose worldview differs from that of the other. However, these two faiths both believe in the existence of Jesus Christ. This mystically connects the two different religions and creates a vision of the existence of one God, who goes by different names, but who, in reality, is unique to everyone. However, the understanding of this significant character is quite different: Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God, while Muslims believe him to be the messenger of God, born of a virgin mother and performed miracles. The main sources of understanding the figure of Jesus Christ in both religions are, of course, the Quran and the Holy Bible – the most respectable books, which include the main concepts of each religion. Information about this important figure cannot be denied, as even historians have admitted his existence. The birth of the little child was described similarly by both religious beliefs. Both: the Bible and the Koran believe that he was born of a virgin woman, whose name was Mary. The Bible says: “...the time when the child was to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and placed him in a manger. » (Luke 1:6-7, Christianity and Islam). On the other hand, the Quran also describes Jesus and...... middle of paper ......t. While Christians believe that Christ was killed on Christ and resurrected, Muslims completely deny his death, hence the fact of the resurrection (they believed that God simply took him back). So we can see that there are a number of similarities in Islam and Christianity's understanding of Jesus, but they are also different. But most importantly, neither religion denies the existence of this great figure.
