For example, I think why people multitask in this particular way is if you could do your homework and listen to music at the same time as your multitasking. Another way people multitask is to study and work at the same time, for example if you were asked to learn how to complete this task instead of committing to it, different parts of the brain would activated. Although multitasking can have great benefits, these benefits come with drawbacks. For example, performing multiple tasks simultaneously reflects a decrease in concentration. This means that instead of doing great work, you produce poor work because you are doing two multiple things at once instead of focusing on a single task. Additionally, multitasking could be a waste of time since you will have to switch between tasks and require constant reminders of what to do.
