    There are eight periods of human development which include prenatal period, infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, early adulthood adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood. These eight periods constitute the three major periods of development; development of children, adolescents and adults. The prenatal period takes place during the first two weeks after conception. Heredity and environmental influences (often negative) also develop during this stage. At this stage, the body is more sensitive to these influences than at any other period.
