It was February 28 in the year 2014, the day everyone in Georgia thought the end of the world was going to happen! It started like any ordinary day, with society getting up in the morning to go to work, school, and shopping as usual. No one thought that for once the weather forecast was accurate. Little did anyone know that by the end of the day, Georgia would have entered a new ice age. For me, the day started at nine o'clock sharp. Something was very different today, I was very hesitant. Something told me not to go to school, so I took my time getting ready. Finally I was ready to leave and as soon as I got out it started snowing. I got home and started pacing back and forth wondering if I should take that trip to school again or stay home. Soon, I remember one of my colleagues telling me that a snowstorm was coming, so I decided to stay home. Luckily, it was a pretty easy day for me. Unfortunately for others, their snow day didn't go as well. On February 28, 2014, Georgia entered a severe but temporary ice age. This Tuesday was a trying time and showed us that we really are one big family. I didn't want to be home, so my friend Milan and I met at the local Wal-Mart and then walked to her house. Outside, it was twenty degrees, you had to be careful where you stepped, otherwise you would slip on the ice or snow. The roads are completely frozen, the cars seem to be sleeping and are not moving at all. As we got closer to Milan's house, she began to express concern for her younger cousin. “Angelica has been in traffic for two hours and we have no way to reach her. She walks from school alone,” Milan said. The next morning I sat down and had a conversation with Milan An...... middle of paper...... and I thought how one of these people who lost their lives could have been me, or a loved one. for me.I conclude that anyone who resides in Georgia would agree that, in one way or another, this snowstorm has affected them. It doesn't matter if it was a little or a lot. On top of that, February 28 proved that people care. This company is truly one big family that takes care of each other, whether or not you notice that we are all on this earth together. This is all connected on a deeper level that I can't complain about. This day of paper and snow really made me grow as a person, really made me realize that we, as a whole, are stronger. February 28, 2014 showed me that a tree is nothing without its leaves, branches, stems and every part of that tree that extends from the ground. A tree is nothing without all its parts given to it to function properly.
