Communication is the key element of life that distinguishes human beings from the rest of the animal kingdom. The human ability to communicate at a very refined level has allowed us to build civilizations and develop advanced technologies. Technology has undoubtedly advanced over the years and with revolutionary inventions such as the internet, smartphones and tablets, our ability to communicate effectively in a formal and detailed manner has deteriorated. This not only causes digital divisions between third world countries and their citizens, but also isolates users. Physical social interactions are greatly affected by technology and should not be overshadowed; communication is a specific attribute of human civilization.
