One of the questions asked in class was: “Does an I-shaped organization need to have at least the characteristics of an F-shaped organization to be successful?” " Discuss. Do you also think that elements from the era of standardization and customization are still relevant in certain sectors today? Discuss.I-shaped organizations, also known as innovation form organization, are based on knowledge and theory-driven operations. In view of the evolution of organizational models, it has become evident that the I-Form organization has moved away from the era of standardization and market segmentations. The I Form organization is therefore based not only on market exploration, but it is a direct result of the era of innovation. The I-Form organization is an organization that uses the market exploration model to enable these companies to seize opportunities. These organizations widely use technologies to manage business capture and efficiency in a knowledge-intensive environment. In order to conduct effective market explorations, these organizations must not only develop a community-based organizational design, but also use a facilitative management approach that allows businesses in a given industry to collaborate with each other and with their customers. I-Form organizations have proven to be very crucial for businesses and organizations that operate in industries where the knowledge base that determines business opportunities is constantly changing or increasing. I-Form organizations must therefore possess the minimum level of F-form characteristics since for such companies to succeed in such a dynamic environment, they must have developed the ability to continually expand their knowledge base and therefore be able to create and share the required knowledge and employees have complete freedom and responsibility. take the actions they deem best for the organization. Indeed, the I-Form organization design allows them to not only learn from other organizations, but also interact collaboratively within these communities and networks in order to compete in challenging and complex business environments. Therefore, most organizations' standardization and customization eras are still very relevant in the industry today, because effective knowledge sharing should be based on the solid experiences of organizations based on specific standards..
