    In 2013 alone, approximately one hundred and fifty million Apple iPhones were sold to customers around the world. On the other hand, in the 19th century, Apple iPhones hadn't even crossed the minds of the most brilliant innovators. During this time, the creation of agricultural machinery, railways and industrial products was introduced, all used to improve the living and working conditions of the time. The use of cell phones in today's society is a terrifying example of technology's shift from supportive to harmful. Nowadays, it is common for a human being to depend on technology to carry out daily activities, interact socially and this has even created an almost frightening ease of access to the lives of others. When technology emerged during the Industrial Revolution, it was intended to build a simpler life; However, the evolution of today's technology has instead created a complex lifestyle, which has depreciated its original purpose. Between 1760 and approximately 1850, the United States underwent an astonishing transformation, better known as the Industrial Revolution. This era in our society's history changed the way people lived by creating new forms of technology to reduce manual labor and create easier forms of production, transportation, and much more. (Yale.edu) This was actually the most important turning point, in terms of technology, in the United States. At that time, evolution was occurring in every aspect of human life, creating simpler ways to accomplish almost anything one desired.
