Essay / Animal Cruelty - 811
Animals around the world are taken from their natural habitats, breaded and fed antibiotics. Animal cruelty ranges from puppy mills, zoos, factory farms and more. People who hurt animals may not even know they are hurting them, but animals are dying all around us. According to Désirée Achollo of People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), families who adopt rabbits, goldfish and hermit crabs do not take sufficient care of the animals and they end up in the trash (February 2010 np ). Animal cruelty occurs all around us through the mistreatment of dolphins, puppies, exotic animals, cows and more. Do dolphins face animal cruelty? The answer is yes. Dolphins are captured and placed in theme parks and aquariums, and used in swim-with-dolphins programs. Normally, they live in compound worlds and travel in social groups. Dolphins swim 100 miles with their families every day. The mortality rate among dolphins is very high and most dolphins become ill from contaminated water and stress-related ulcers. Jennifer O'Connor said. "Ric O'Barry, a famous dolphin trainer, stopped capturing dolphins after Flipper's death." Flipper was said to have died of stress and depression. Dolphins make up a large part of our world, but they are not the only ones facing this cruelty. Unlike the gigantic animals of the ocean, land rodents are victims. Texas exotic animal delivery business raided. Snakes stare at us, there are dead rodents and hundreds of reptiles have been shipped in crates. On December 16, 2009, Jay Sabuttuci, animal services manager for the city of Arlington, said: “The animals were not fed properly, were overcrowded and were attacking each other.
