The form of propaganda Hitler used successfully was his words. Hitler gave several speeches as dictator, but his famous speech was his last speech during his treason trial. In this speech he gave his views before the trial. The central aim of this speech was that Hitler wanted to become the destroyer of Marxism. After being released from prison for his crime, he was able to gain control of the Nazi Party from other supporters, proving that he was an effective user of propaganda. This proves that Hitler was an established user of propaganda, but the purpose of Joseph Stalin's propaganda was not blatantly obvious. Stalin however used propaganda in his speech to the Fifteenth Congress in 1927 when he told the people what they wanted to hear and he used this speech to advance his cause. This speech allowed him to further gain the support of the people and justify why Trotsky was not the choice of leader.
