    Reflection matters in clinical practice; we are always looking for success and this can be achieved by learning every day of our lives through the experiences we encounter. In this way, we can reconsider and rethink our previous knowledge and add new learning to our knowledge base in order to inform our practice. Learning new skills does not stop at qualification; it should become second nature to thoughtful professionals as they pursue professional development throughout their careers (Jasper, 2006). In line with current legislation on the protection and respect of individuals' rights to anonymity (Polit and Beck 2007), and for confidentiality (Munhall 2007), all possible identifiable characteristics of the client have either been altered or omitted entirely when the potential for client identification was considered possible or probable. The incident I am about to describe occurred when I worked at a regional hospital where we treat a large number of cases each year, with varying specialties.
