    An individual on planet Earth can live his life the way he wants. However, no matter what, their choices will have a cascading effect on their own or others' energy. As humans, we have the gift of free will to choose where to step, walk, or run throughout our lives. However, being born into a pre-existing society with an established monetary system can give us complexes about what is really the right or wrong way to live it. I personally believe that it is up to each individual to discover for themselves their priorities and life goals, and that these will pave the way for their own lifestyle. I am writing this essay to find out for myself if it is possible to achieve peace of mind without making extreme choices like Daniel Suelo's, "The Man Who Left Money" (Sundeen). As infants, our needs and desires remain very simple and basic. According to eHow.com, a human being's basic needs for survival throughout life are air, water, food, sleep, shelter, and safety. If we, as humans, wish to live comfortably, we must maintain good health, companionship, and means of communication. Income is one of the listed needs for survival and eHow contributor Gina Scott points out that, “regardless of currency or business unit of a society, a source of income is vital to survival… ” and also states: “Before the advent of cash, people around the world used goods and services to barter and trade. (eHow contributor Gina Scott) Daniel Suelo may have learned to live a life without earning, receiving, or spending a single cent. He prefers to accept gifts or wasted excesses rather than receive money. Mark Sudeen quotes Daniel Suelo speaking about his view of himself: “I am employed by the universe.
